Turkish business delegation visits Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (VCCIC)

On June 7 Turkish business delegation visited Vilnius CCIC. During the visit a round table discussion was held together with Lithuanian and Turkish businessmen. The delegation was led by the new elected Chairman of the Turkish-Lithuanian Council, Mr. Serdar Kurt, and the event was curated by DEiK, Foreign Economic Relations Board.

"I am delighted to host the Turkish delegation in Vilnius Chamber premises. We cooperate with the Turkish Embassy in Lithuania, and also have partnerships with Alanya Chamber of Commerce, Ankara Chamber of Commerce and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the upcoming autumn, we are planning a business mission to Lithuania with the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce in the framework of the Gaziantep Food Cluster project. With Istanbul Chamber of Commerce we have plans to organize an outgoing business mission from Lithuania to Turkey. Vilnius Chamber always looks for opportunities for both countries’ businesses to develop their cooperation, secure resources, sell or buy products”, - said Dr. Almantas Danilevičius, General Director of Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.

Last year, the bilateral trade turnover between Lithuania and Turkey amounted to 789 million euros, of which 518 million euros were exports.

"I am glad that we have been nicely welcomed by Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. Economic relations between Lithuania and Turkey are important and significant for both countries. The main industries in Turkey are vehicle manufacturing, electronics, textiles, food industry, mining, steel, oil, construction, paper industry. B2B meetings and business delegations‘ visits are very important to open the doors for future perspective” - said Mr. Serdar Kurt, the Chairman of the Turkish-Lithuanian Council.

Representatives from the construction and contracting, finance and insurance, and trade sectors were present in the Turkish delegation.

The following members of Vilnius CCIC participated in the round table discussion: RUBINETA, GREENLAB SOLUTIONS, FINREDA, BY&N, COMFORT HEAT, WeZoop, and represented plumbing equipment, chemical products, heating systems, food supplements, LED lighting engineering solutions for business and industry, and other business sectors.
